Our Upper Secondary Programme spans Senior 5 to Senior 7, blending physical classroom teaching with online instruction. Senior 5 and Senior 6 cover the two-year Advanced Level (A-Level) curriculum leading to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), the standard entry qualification for Ugandan universities. This is followed by a guided Senior 7 transition year, where students receive focused support for university applications, scholarship opportunities, and any further entrance exams — including pre-entry exams for competitive programmes such as Law.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each Principal pass at UACE is scored on a points scale (A=6, B=5, C=4, D=3, E=2, O=1), and a Subsidiary pass such as General Paper or Sub-ICT can add further points. Ugandan public universities, coordinated through the Joint Admissions Board, combine these A-Level points with a weighting from two best O-Level subjects to compute each applicant's admission score for degree programmes.

Senior 7 is not a formal UNEB examination class; A-Level in Uganda officially ends at Senior 6 with UACE. Our Senior 7 is a guided enrichment year we offer after UACE, focused on university application support, scholarship guidance, retake preparation where needed, and readiness for further entrance exams such as the Law pre-entry exam.

Combinations are chosen based on a student's UCE results, career interests, and the entry requirements of their target university course. Common combinations include Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) for engineering-track students and History-Economics-Geography (HEG) for arts and social science pathways. Our teachers guide this decision individually with each student.

UACE examinations are set by UNEB and typically sat in October or November of Senior 6, with results generally released the following February. University applications through the national Joint Admissions Board process open shortly after results are released.

Yes. During Senior 6 and the Senior 7 transition year, we guide students through Uganda's centralized public university admission process via the Joint Admissions Board, as well as private university and international applications, including course selection and required documentation.

Admission to a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme at Ugandan universities requires passing a separate pre-entry examination in addition to UACE requirements. We offer a dedicated Pre-Entry for Law School programme to prepare Upper Secondary students for this exam.
