Frequently Asked Questions

UNEB examines four subjects at PLE: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies. Our Upper Primary curriculum is built around thorough, exam-ready coverage of all four.

Each PLE subject is graded on a scale of 1 (best) to 9, and the four subject grades are added together to give a pupil's aggregate score. A lower aggregate is better — an aggregate of 4 to 12 typically falls in Division 1, the top performance band, while higher aggregates fall into lower divisions.

PLE is sat nationally in November or early December each year, with UNEB typically releasing results in January. We build mock exams and revision cycles around this timeline so learners peak at the right moment.

Yes, we regularly admit transfer students into Primary 4 through Primary 6. We review the child's most recent report and, where useful, run a short informal assessment to place them correctly and identify any gaps to close.

Yes. We guide Primary 7 candidates and their families through Uganda's post-PLE placement process, including how PLE aggregate scores are used for government-aided school selection, and we offer direct continuation into our own Lower Secondary programme.
